Eliza's brother Donald b 1802 married Catherine Gordon and went to Ontario, Canada, early 1850s. Eliza had another brother, William b 1807.

John & Eliza lived at Drummuie, Golspie. Their children:

MUNRO, GRAY & LESLIE in Dornoch & Rogart

I am searching for George Munro who married Ann/Jane Gray. They had children: Walter born July 24 1799, Murriad born July 1 1801, James born Sept 15 1803, Catherine born Dec 15 1807 and Elspeth born Oct 24 1809 - all born in Dornoch/Rogart. I think Ann Gray died about this time and George then remarried possibly to Mary Matheson and had children Charles born Nov 23 1811and Elizabeth born about 1816 also born in Dornoch/Rogart.
George emigrated to West Zorra Township, Ontario, about 1830/31 with all of the above children except Catherine who had married in Sutherland to Donald Leslie.
Donald and Catherine had a son, George Leslie born Dec 30 1830. Donald, Catherine and George Leslie also emigrated to Zorra probably in 1831 as Donald does appear on the 1831 Residents Emigration List 1831 from the Sutherland Estate.
I do not know if George's wife was with the family when they came to Canada. George was not buried in the Old Log Cemetery nor was his wife. They may have been buried on their farm. George may have also gone by the name of William as originally his farm was registered to William Munro. I need to find out who George was married to, who George's parents were and where he was born. I would appreciate any help.
Embro, West Zorra Twp, Ontario, Canada

CAMPBELL in Dornoch/Rogart

I am researching Donald Campbell (son of John Cambpell and Lilly Munro, Rogart) and Christina Ross (daughter of Aeneas Ross and Barbara Macleod) who married in Dornoch, March 1827. Their children were:
John, born April 1827, Dornoch;
James, born February 1829, Dornoch
Barbara, born May 1831, Dornoch (married John Matheson 1862, Dornoch)
Mary, born 1833, Dornoch
Angus Fraser, born June 1835, Dornoch, emigrated to New Zealand - photograph on left.
Aeneas, born September 1837, Dornoch, died September 1863, a.24, Benin.
Donald, born 1840, Dornoch
Janet, born 1842, Dornoch
Lilias, born September 1844, Dornoch (married Murdoch Ross, 1871)
Christina, born 1848, Dornoch, (m.1 George Stein, 1872; m.2 Robert Moffat, 1896).
If anyone is connected to any of these families I would be most interested in them. I have been searching for information on Aeneas who died in Benin to no avail. Also, we believe that at least one of the family emigrated to Australia but I don't know who. Angus Fraser Campbell was my husband's grandfather, and his son Aeneas (my husband's father) was named for Angus' brother who died.
Anyone connected?
Many thanks.
